This concept for a rowing club centers around a large common training space. Dubbed the rowing room, this wood clad room echoes the storied history of the sport while maintaining a contemporary, focused feeling. The secondary post and beam structure breaks down the scale of the space, creating intimacy and fostering camaraderie through competition and shared experience. The result is a warm but intense space, with subtle illusions to the hull of a boat.
